2025, a welcome to the year the wheels fall off!!
2025 has barely begun, yet it already feels like it’s carrying the weight of a decade. My heart feels heavy just thinking about everything that’s happened in these first ten days.
The Bourbon Street incident — it was more than just a tragedy; it was a gut punch to all of us who see New Orleans as a beacon of resilience and celebration. Watching such a vibrant, joyful place turn into a scene of heartbreak was surreal and deeply painful. It’s hard not to feel like a piece of that city’s soul was wounded.
And then came the Las Vegas Cybertruck explosion. The shock of it still lingers in my chest. It’s the kind of event that leaves you questioning everything — our safety, the sheer unpredictability of life. Seeing the images and hearing the stories from that day felt like being thrust into a sci-fi nightmare, except it was all too real.
California’s wildfires, though… they hit differently. It’s not just the flames; it’s the sense of helplessness that comes with them. The devastation stretches beyond the scorched earth — it’s in the air, the displaced families, the animals, and the communities trying to rebuild again and again. It’s hard not to feel overwhelmed, like nature is crying out and we’ve failed to listen.
2025, you’ve barely introduced yourself, and already you’ve taken us on an emotional rollercoaster. The grief, the anxiety, the disbelief — it’s exhausting. Here’s hoping the rest of the year finds a way to ease this chaos and give us moments to breathe, to heal, and to hope.
