The falling in love phase is beautiful. The phone calls, text messages, hourly check ins, planned dates nights. New information is great and feeds the brain full with the thirst for more.
Planning for a successful relationship requires strategy and probably a stroke of luck. A lot of people miss key things because they are focused on the future not the moment. You can’t get to the future without the present moment. If you want to know what your partner is like and if the future will be with them in it, there are conversations that need to be had. The answers to these questions also need to be honest.
Usually the key question is why do you want to be with this person, what do they bring to the table. Does the presence of this person bring peace? Do they make your life easier? Do they complement you? If you can confidently answer the most important question, you can move forward.
Second question is figuring out what you want to do in life, simply put, the goals. For some women, marriage and child bearing is their end goal, they see nothing past that.
