It's that time of the year where I get to do a self reflection of my life from last year. Last year was pretty good. I met amazing people, new clients in my business, and got to travel twice. Enjoy life. My Medium career took off significantly last year, and I thank you all my readers for this.

Here are the lessons I learned last year, and I hope it will benefit you.

  1. Do not take anything personal: Everyone has a thing that makes them act the way they do. Sometimes it is not about you, so don't take it personal. Instead, work on how you can come across to people by controlling your own emotions and how you behave.
  2. Do not settle: Relationships, friendships, your life partner, choice of anything, please do not settle. Know your worth and the value that you bring, and never accept anything less than that from someone else. If you chose wisely, you would be happy, if you settle, you would be miserable. Make sure you also put in top tier energy into what you do for other people. It makes you a person of quality.
  3. Better yourself: Self improvement should be constant. Travel, read more, meet new people, learn new skills. Do not be stagnant. When you do so, you become a better person, you become well rounded, and develop excellent social skills.
