You think kids are the only people who throw tantrums? I have met a few adults who throw tantrums and its not a pretty sight. One adult flew off the handle at the slightest provocation and I have not looked at the person the same way. This happens when the adult does not feel like they are being heard, they could be clearly expressing their feelings which you may not be able to relate with because you do not understand, and next thing they flare up and throw a tantrum.
When a person is not emotionally intelligent or does not have the ability to control their emotions, they throw tantrums.
The tantrums can seem like this:
- React Explosively: This person can go from having a calm conversation with you, to throwing a whole tantrum. It can happen in a range of minutes.
- Cursing: They resort to cursing as a means of showing because they are frustrated and angry. They cannot articulate their emotions in a more productive ways and this can be hurtful and cause damage to relationships.
- Aggression: This person does this from frustration, because they are not heard. This has a damaging effect on relationships and mess up reputations.
- Hurtful Name Calling: This is also as a result of not controlling their emotions. It comes from…
