“Why did he text me and then not respond? Sometimes it could be for hours, other times it could be for days?
He did that because he wanted to make sure you would respond to the message. It’s a form of ego massager for an asshole, if I must say. I guess that’s your cue to leave, take the trash out, don’t recycle it, just leave it out.
Sometimes they do this to get validation. As long as the other party feels they want to put in the work, let them do it, don’t text, don’t initiate. If they fall back, it’s on them, not you. Once you stop investing where there are no rewards, you will see and understand your worth.
We treat the people in our lives how to treat us. If we accept less than bare minimum treatment, it shows that we have no respect for ourselves.
These days, it’s so easy to settle for breadcrumbs just to be with someone. It sounds pathetic, right? It sure is. There are so many breadcrumbers, and the bread crumbed will do anything to stay in the relatively bakery.
Relationships should not be so difficult, but some people make it hard for others because
- They are not honest about what they want
- Settling is better than single.
