LAUREN
Lauren was in the shower when Damina came home. She was at the gym earlier for her cardio class. She came home, made dinner, and decided to take a shower, because she called Damina four times and there was no response.
She was upset. This new behavior was something she was not used to. As she lathered the soap on her body, she could not help but think about what Vanessa had told her during brunch. She didn’t want to believe Damina had another woman, but his behavior lately proved otherwise.
She walked out of the shower and saw Damina sitting on the bed staring out of the window. She no longer recognized this man. In public, he was the handsome, charming man everyone wanted to be around, but at night, in the house with her, he was an entirely different person. He was no longer the man who would kiss her on the forehead before bed. He didn’t snuggle with her as much anymore. They hadn’t watched their favorite show together in over a week.
She felt like she was dealing with two people in one body, and it was no longer fun.
