MAJOR AIRLINES LIFT MASK MANDATE.

Are people going to continue to show responsibility keeping each other safe?

Do you think it makes sense for the mask mandate to be lifted? Today April 19th, 2002. The mask mandate at the airport was lifted. These airlines have opted to go optional when it comes to wearing masks.

Alaska Airlines

Southwest Airlines

American Airlines

Delta Airlines

United

JetBlue

Some airlines may follow suit. This is a result of a federal judge turning over the mandate. I can’t lie, flying with a mask on for hours was the most uncomfortable thing. The only problem now is how can one figure out who is asymptomatic, and how safe will it be to fly in a confined space with other passengers? Everyone is responsible for their safety. This is the reason for the mask mandate. If the infection rates are on the rise, I believe it makes sense to be safe even when you are not immunocompromised.

Because the mask mandate has been lifted doesn’t mean we should not take precautions. If you feel you are at a high risk of contracting the virus, please wear a mask in indoor spaces, if you are pregnant, elderly and immunocompromised. We all want to go outside this summer. The last two years have been real trying times for people. It came first with isolation, and then adjusting to rules to help protect the lives of people. I believe that even though the mask mandate has been taking off, we all have a responsibility towards each other and, keeping our communities and our family safe.
