MARRIED TO A DEAD MAN (1)
I met Brian at the bank. I worked as a teller at the time. He was fair, skinned and tall, he had attractive looking features. I fell in love instantly. Every time he came to the bank, he only wanted me to help him with his account. A few weeks later, he asked to take me out to lunch. I agreed. It was nothing harmful, and I went out to lunch with Brian. That lunch determined the beginning of a blossoming relationship. I was excited. I looked forward to talking to him on the phone everyday, before going to bed after work. We spent the weekends together going to the zoo, the cinema, or hanging out at the shopping mall having ice cream. He met my family members during Thanksgiving. My younger sisters adored him. They didn’t have an older brother, so it was convenient. My mom liked him. My dad had a hard time feeling with him at first, because he was my first boyfriend, and he wanted to make was right for me. In the end, Brian succeeded in winning my dad over. The strange thing is that I never met his family. He told me he didn’t get along with any of them, and he cut himself off when he went to college and never looked back. He showed me pictures of his mom and dad. He had a younger brother and a younger sister. He had such a beautiful family, why didn’t he get along with them?
