Olu glanced at the time again. It was now 8:15 pm, and the apartment was quiet. The visit, which was supposed to be a surprise, was now surprising him. He didn’t like it one bit. He paced around the room impatiently, hoping any minute from now, Rosa would walk into the room.
Should he call?
He debated as he pulled his phone out from his back pocket and stared at the screen. Rosa was always home at this time. She was the true definition of a creature of habit. He looked around the apartment, which seemed cold and not homely.
Who was she out with? Where did she go? These questions haunted him as he paced around the room.
Rosa had become distant, she didn’t want to show it, but he could tell. The conversations had gotten shorter, she was not as excited to be around him anymore. It was an awful feeling, but his hands were tied. Abisola didn’t deserve an unfaithful husband either. She had successfully helped him build their home and their family. He decided to call Rosa.
It rang twice and went to voicemail.
