  1. Missing Payments: When you miss a payment, you have late fees added. Auto pay your bills or have a reminder on your smart device to remind you of when bills are due.
    2. Envelope Method: I started a twenty thousand dollar envelope method, which I intend to do for twenty six weeks. You can do it for how long you want, and put money in each envelope. I realized that I spend less money when I spend cash, unlike when I use my card.
    A lot of content creators have made budget envelopes and budget books. I have a binder I bought on Amazon, which has different categories like rent, car insurance, food, groceries, gas etc.
    A certain blogger I came across on TikTok used the envelope money to save the money while she spent her credit card every month, and paid the card off every month with the money from the envelopes. It was a fantastic idea.
    3. The bigger the Bill, the less money you spend: I love cash. When I carry a bill larger than a twenty dollar bill, I am reluctant to spend it because I don’t want to break it. Certain places like drive thru would not take bills larger than $20, so I end up using cash.
    4. Evaluate your Membership: It is easy to sign up for membership for the purpose of saving money, or getting a great benefit. Sometimes it is good to evaluate if the membership is worth it.
