She woke about an hour later. I was making an omelet when she walked into the kitchen. Her face looked like a war zone. Did she fight with sleep demons at night? Goodness gracious.
“Morning,” she greeted as she walked past me and opened the fridge.
“Good morning,” I responded. “Hope you had a good night’s rest,” I asked.
“Was okay,” she replied as she grabbed the orange juice bite and poured the contents into a mug she pulled out from the cupboard.
She was generous with the quantity too. I had to note how frequently I would have to buy juice.
Honestly, why was I having these thoughts? She hadn’t spent up to twenty four hours, and I was scrutinizing every single thing she did
“I am making breakfast, do you want some?” I asked.
“Not right now, I have a headache, so tired from all the moving I had to do yesterday,” she responded.
“No worries,” I responded as I flipped the edges of the omelet and put them on the white plate Iefr on the counter.
Serena finished the juice and put the mug in the sink. Without saying another word, she walked away.
