I kept looking for empathy in her eyes.
There was none. It was a pure icy cold look, one that suggested I made a mistake in letting her live with me for the time being.
She had no remorse for what she had done. She was confident in her decision to bring her sister into my house as a guest.
Her guest.
If Matt were here, he would have been doing a victory dance thing. I told you so dance. It took so much in me not to get furious at this point.
“I understand I opened up my home to you, and your sister is your family and what not, but what I’m telling you is that you should tell me first. This is my house, and I can put the both of you out if I want to,” I told her in the little confidence I was building in my head.
She smirked and gave a little laugh.
“You are joking right now, aren’t you?”
Was this girl serious right now? I was not joking, and what made her think it was okay to make light of the situation.
“I am serious, not kidding,” I said and eyed her.
I was getting annoyed.
She turned around in the spot she was standing in disbelief.
“ That’s really mean of you to say, you said you wanted to help me, and now you want to kick me out,” she accused.
