THE TRUST THAT KEEPS GETTING BROKEN 1 (short story series)
It was the fourth time.
We had just gotten back together after being apart for three years.
The previous six were a reminder that you cannot build trust that keeps getting broken.
Samantha, the mother of our three children, Avi, Leila and Thomas who were fifteen, twelve and nine years old respectively was caught cheating.
We were high school sweethearts and vowed to do life together. Two silly seventeen year olds who wanted to be around each other all the time not knowing the odds were stacked against us. She got pregnant at nineteen and lost the baby at four months. I was devastated, but it built an unbreakable bond. We moved on from it and concentrated on school and work. We got married at twenty three and had Avi a year later.
The pregnancy was the absolute worst, from having the worst morning sickness, to having gestational diabetes and an incompetence cervix that sent her on bed rest two months before her due date.
I worked crazy hours because we needed two incomes to keep the house afloat, and we also had two little feet on the way.
