Do you have tetraphobia?

What is tetra phobia? Tetra phobia means having the fear of four.

In Japan, the number four is considered to be an unlucky number.

Many people fear the number four. Some hotels would not use the number four.

Some Japanese people will not accept a telephone number that has the number four in it be it one number or several fours.

The reason for this is due to pronunciation. In Japanese, the word for four is similar to the word death. it is called shi.

People don’t want to have any association with the number four, because it has an association with the word death.

Hotels and hospitals in Japan do not have a fourth floor because he doesn’t exist.

In Korea the four is also regarded as an unlucky number because the character in writing number four represents death. The elevators don’t have a fourth floor, instead of number four, it is called the “F” floor.

You can find the third floor and second floor first floor on the fifth floor, but there is no first floor they would not give you a gift of four items.

Do you believe in superstition?
